Happy Haunts: The Sims 3 Playable Ghost Occult Guide

The Sims 3 blessed us with many different occult Sims, one per pack to be specific, and its very first occult was the Playable Ghost. Follow this guide through if you want to learn how to get a Playable Ghost of your very own and what to do with them!

You’ll be glad to know that for the most part, death in The Sims 3 is temporary. If you have more than one Sim in a household and one of them dies, it is likely your remaining Sim will eventually receive an opportunity called Oh My Ghost!

To complete this opportunity, your Sim must put the gravestone of their lost Sim in their inventory and take it to the Science Lab to restore the ghost. It won’t go entirely to plan but your Sim will return to your family as a ghost that you can control just like any other Sim. They have needs, can build skills and have a job, and most importantly can fall in love and have children. You can create an entirely ghost family this way and have quite the colourful household if you choose your Sims’ demises carefully. You can learn about all the potential ways a Sim can die here.

If you have The Sims 3 Supernatural, you can create Playable Ghosts in Create a Household and choose the colour and gravestone, i.e. what killed them.

Having a meteor land on her wasn’t going to stop Jocasta cooking her family a home cooked meal
