Where’s Your Mummy?: The Sims 3 Mummy Occult Guide

The Sims 3 World Adventures came with the ability to add a Mummy to your household, or indeed become one. Follow this guide through if you want to learn how to get a Mummy of your very own and what to do with them!

Abilities and Vulnerabilities

Mummies have many abilities including having longer lifespans and being immune to electricity. They also do not have the bladder or energy needs. Mummies that are added to the household are treated as Elders but Sims who turn into Mummies will remain in their existing life stage.

Mummies are rightfully terrified of fire and vulnerable to it. They will receive a Scared moodlet in the presence of fire and put it out as quick as they can. Speaking of quick, they aren’t. They move very slowly which has its own downsides. They also receive a Soaked moodlet whenever they encounter water. Mummies are also unable to Streak or Scuba Dive.

Tread carefully if you encounter Mummies on your adventures. Losing a fight can result in your Sim being cursed with the fatal Mummy’s Curse.

Becoming a Mummy

To turn into a Mummy, a Sim needs to sleep twice in the Cursed Sarcophagus of the Kings for a total of 24 hours. After they emerge the first time, you will receive a notification to tell you they are wary of the Sarcophagus and its ancient magic, the second time you will be notified they succumbed to the curse. The Sarcophagus can be obtained by collecting fragments through adventures and then constructing one at home. Otherwise, it can be located in BuyDebug in Buy Mode.

To undo the curse, your Mummy should sleep in the Blessed Sarcophagus of the Kings twice for 24 hours in total. You will receive a notification the first time they emerge that they are feeling more connected to the living, the second time they will be cured.

If you have The Sims 3 Supernatural, your Sim can drink the Bottled Mummy’s Curse to become a Mummy, or throw it at another Sim to turn them into one!

BuyDebug can be unlocked by opening the cheat panel (ctrl + shift + c) and typing in testingcheatsenabled true and pressing enter, opening the cheat panel again and typing in BuyDebug and pressing enter. It is in Buy Mode under the ? icon when sorting the catalogue by function.

If they would prefer not to become one themselves, Sims can add a Mummy to their household by completing the Canopic Jars Collection and adding it to their inventory. Then, click on a Sarcophagus and select Summon Mummy to add one to your household.

Unfortunately, without Mods, Mummies cannot have babies.

Using Mods to Turn your Sim: Install Nraas Master Controller, then Click on the Sim and select Nraas – Master Controller – Intermediate – Occult: Add – Mummy
